Getting There

The 21st ICC Conference will take place at the Muthgasse Campus of BOKU University, located in Vienna. The venue is easily accessible from Vienna's city center and major transport hubs.

Traveling to Vienna

Vienna is well-connected to the rest of Europe and beyond, with an international airport (Vienna International Airport, VIE) located about 18 km from the city center. From the airport, you can easily reach the city by taking a direct train (S7, REX 7) or the City Airport Train (CAT) to the city center in about 20 minutes.

Alternatively, you can use taxis or ride-sharing services, but public transport is typically the fastest and most cost-effective option.

Reaching the Venue

The nearest U-Bahn station to the venue is U4 Heiligenstadt, which is about a 7-minute walk to the conference site.

Important Construction Notice on the U4 Line

Please be aware that there will be ongoing construction work on the U4 line between Schottenring and Friedensbrücke during the time of the conference. This may affect travel for those coming from the Friedensbrücke station or earlier. If you are traveling along this section, be prepared for potential delays and longer transition times. You may need to change trains at certain stations, so we recommend allowing extra time for your journey.

Public Transport Apps

To make your journey smoother, we recommend downloading the Scotty app for real-time connections and updates on public transport in Vienna, including any delays. Additionally, the ÖBB Ticket app can be used to purchase tickets for all public transport in Austria, except for the CAT train from the airport.
